Geospatial
1. Off Site Manufacture Validation (OSMV)
Our Off Site Manufacture Validation (OSMV) service uses advanced geospatial technology to ensure the precision and accuracy of pre-fabricated components before they arrive on-site.
- Advanced Scanning: Using our in-house Leica RTC 360, we scan modules, skids, racks, and pre-fabricated pipework to create detailed point clouds.
- Accuracy Comparison: With Cyclone 3DR software, we compare the “as-built” point cloud to the design file, identifying any out-of-tolerance elements.
- Remedial Action Planning: Automated plans are created to address and rectify these discrepancies, ensuring that installation personnel can correct them efficiently.
- Site Passport Pack: We provide a comprehensive “Site Passport Pack” for spatial approval of modules, which can be referenced at any future stage.
2. Survey Scan
Our survey scanning services are designed to provide detailed scans of existing buildings and services to facilitate effective project planning and execution.
- Purpose: Scanning existing buildings and services to create an accurate point cloud.
- Application: This point cloud is used to coordinate the retrofit of new services, ensuring precise alignment and integration with existing structures.
3. Scan to BIM
The Scan to BIM service converts point cloud data into a comprehensive BIM model, enhancing the operational and maintenance phases of a project.
- Purpose: Scanning existing buildings and services to generate point cloud data.
- Application: The point cloud is converted into a BIM model, which is crucial for facilities maintenance during the operational phase of built assets and for major refurbishments of projects that predate BIM implementation.
4. Progress/Validation and As-Built Scans
We offer specialised scanning services to track project progress and validate installations, ensuring every detail is captured accurately.
- Progress/Validation Scans:
- What?: Scanning installed services during live projects.
- Why?: To capture progress and create Point in Time reports (% against design), or to validate the accuracy of installation using the same method as OSMV.
- As-Built Scans:
- What?: Scanning completed service installations.
- Why?: To accurately document all changes made during construction and installation that were not captured in the Project Information Model (PIM).
